Baseball Bounces Back Against Eagles

The Wright State Lakers returned home to host Clark State Community College Wednesday afternoon in a single inning contest. The Lakers were looking to bounce back from a pair of tough USCAA loses over the weekend and did so in style.

 

Clark State 2 vs Wright State Lake Campus 15

Wright State Lake Campus defeated Clark State Community College 15-2 thanks to a strong start on Wednesday. The Lakers scored six runs in the first inning on a passed ball, an error, a single by Quintin Cantelli, and another error and a sacrifice fly by Tyler Venters in the first inning.

Connor Burr earned the win for the Lakers. He tossed three innings, allowing two runs, four hits, and striking out four. Sean Johnson took the loss for Clark State Community College. He went two innings, allowing seven runs, six hits, and walking zero.

The Lakers had 12 hits in the game. Cantelli, Burr, Dustin Lewis and Chandler Craine each collected multiple hits for Wright State. Wright State Lake Campus didn't commit a single error in the field. 

Clark State Community College collected seven hits. Chris Conley and Johnson each collected multiple hits for Clark State Community College.

The Lakers are now 19-11 on the season.
