Harriers Take Down Lakers in a 12th Inning Walk-off

Lakers who came into the game ranked #2 in the USCAA Coaches poll and on a seven game win streak. Lost the game late in a 3-1 defeat to Miami University - Hamilton on Wednesday. The game was tied at one with Miami University - Hamilton batting in the top of the twelfth when Spencer Henn tripled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.. The pitching was strong on both sides. Miami University - Hamilton pitchers struck out 16, while Lakers sat down ten.

Miami University - Hamilton got things moving in the first inning, when.Lakers evened things up at one in the bottom of the sixth inning. Tyler Venters drew a walk, scoring one run.

Ryan Ziels was the winning pitcher for Miami University - Hamilton. He allowed zero hits and zero runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking one. Blake Ripperger and Lunden Damuth entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Lucas Sheriff took the loss for Lakers.
