Lakers Split with the Eagles 8-6/ 3-1

The Lakers hosted the Eagles of Cincinnati Christian University and came away with a split of the double header losing the first game 8-6 but taking the night cap 3-1. In Game 1 Isaac Fitzgerald led the Lakers with 2RBI's. Stephen Hoendorf, Brennan Meyers, and Nolan McWhorter had an RBI each. Tanner Crowle pitched 4.0 innings and gave up 6 runs on 5 hits. Christian Hupp (1-1) pitched 1.2 innings giving up 2 hits and an earned run in the loss. In Game 2 the Lakers bounced back behind the hot hitting of Stephen Hoendorf who knocked in all three runs.  Connor Burr chipped in with two hits. Ryan Barker (3-0) pitched a gem not giving up a hit in 4.2 innings of work. Adam Ott piched 2.0 innings but gave up a hit and the Eagles lone run. Isaac Fitzgerald closed out the game and picked up the save. With the win the Lakers are now 10-2 on the season. The Lakers host USCAA foe Robert Morris-Springfield in a four game showdown starting Friday through Sunday.
