Lakers 1 out of 4 in series against the Cougars

The Lakers played a home and home weekend series with the UC Clermont Cougars but mamnaged to take only one game in the four game set winning the first game at Clermont 1-0 but dropping the next three 4-0, 9-6, and 9-3. In Game 1 Connor Burr knocked in the lone run and Lucas Sheriff (4-2) pitched 6 scorless innings striking out 2 while only giving up 2 hits. In Game 2 Isaac Fitzgerald had 2 hits while Carter Cooper, Noah Greathouse and Dustin Lewis had a hit apiece. Cross Youtsler ( 3-2) pitched 6 innings giving up 10 hits and 4 earned runs while striking out 4.  Game 3 saw Noah Greathouse lead with 2 hits while Stephen Hoendorf, and Dakota Craft had a hit apiece. Greathouse (1-1) pitched 4 innings giving up seven hits and 6 earned runs. Ryan Barker pitched 3 innings giving up 5 hits and 3 earned runs. In the final game Cooper knocked in 2 runs while Lewis and Anthony Steele had two hits apiece. Parker Link (0-1) pitched 5 innings giving  up 10 hits and 6 runs striking out 2 in the loss. The Lakers (14-6) continue USCAA play with a Wednesday afternoon double header gainst Rochester College.
