Lakers Lose to Cleary in 10 innings 3-2

The Lakers were down by two going into the late innings but climbed back into the game tying the score on the 2 run homer by Stephen Hoendorf only to let Cleary score a run in their half of the inning and losing 3-2. Lucas Sheriff started the game lasting 5 innings allowing 5 hits and 2 runs while striking out 3. Ryan Barker (0-1) took the loss pitching 4 innings scattering 4 hits striking out 1 and allowing the winning run. The Lakers tallied 9 hits in all. Hoendorf and Noah Greathouse each collected multiple hits. Hoendorf went 3-4 on the day. The Lakers (16-7) continue USCAA play Friday at Nischwitz Field in Dayton against Robert Morris- Peoria. Game time at 12 noon.
