The Lakers closed out the regular season honoring seniors Isaac Fitzgerald, Connor Burr and Tyler Venters then closed out Alice Lloyd College 6-1 and 3-2. In Game 1 Dustin Lewis went 3-4 knocking in 3 runs. Conor Schmitt 2 for 4 and Tyler Venters 2 for 3. Schmitt, Stephen Hoendorf and Venters knocked in a run each. Lucas Sheriff (5-2) pitched a complete game on 5 hits striking out 1. Game 2 saw the Lakers win in dramtic fashion led by Noah Greathouse. Greathouse (3-2) pitched 4 innings striking out 6 and helped himself by knocking in the winning run! Connor Burr and Conor Schmitt both went 2 for 4 from the plate. Tyler Venters had another strong game in his final game going 2 for 3. Dustin Lewis along with Greathouse had an RBI . Parker Link (0-2 )started the game going 4 innings while only giving up 1 earned run and struck out 4 batters. The Lakers are World Series Bound for the 4th straight season and are the #4 seed. They travel to Dubois Pennsylvania and open up play on Monday May 13th taking on #5 Mississippi University for Women. Game time is 1:30pm.
