The Laker men got their first win of the season winning their home opener againt Blue Lights College 95-92. The game was tight throughout the first half but the Laker men withstood the Thoroughbreds run in the second half and came out on top thus giving Coach Chris Jones his first collegiate win of his career! The Laker men were led by Antonio McQueen 25 points, Byron Taylor 18, Patrick McClendon and Ahmad Smith were also in double figures added 11 and 10 points. "This was a satisfying win even though we made it closer with our turnovers and missed free throws said Coach Jones". The Laker men play Blue Lights again today (Oct 27) in the second game of the Double game match. Game time is 2p.
