Lakers split weekend road games

The Laker Men hit the road on Friday and Saturday traveling first to Louisville ,Kentucky to face off with Boyce College and then Saturday to Vienna, West Virginia to take on Ohio Valley University. The Lakers prevailed in OT against Boyce 101-98. 5 Lakers scored in double figures led by Byron Taylor and Chaz Hardin 24 points apiece. Chaz Painter 15 points, Patrick McClendon 13 points, and Antonio McQueen a double-double 14 points 13 rebounds. They were not as successful playing a Saturday matinee game with Ohio Valley University and their first home game of the season came out on the losing end 98-78. Again 5 Lakers paced the scoring led by Patrick McClendon 20 points, Byron Taylor 12, Tyrone Auzenne, Tahj Benton, and Chaz Painter each added 10 points. "We are still giving up way too many points said Coach Jones. We play a lot of quality programs and we cannot continue to just outscore them without playing tough D". The Lakers continue their November travel schedule on November 15 in Taylor, Indiana to take on Taylor University.
