Lakers Up-end Golden Flashes 76-73

The Laker Men opened the second half of the season the way they ended the first half of the season. With a Win! In an exciting game that pretty much went to the wire the Lakers took care of Kent State-Tusc Golden Flashes 76-73. Four Lakers were in double figures led by Elijah Woods 17 points. Byron Taylor 16, Patrick McClendon and Chaz Painter chipped in with 12 each.  The Lakers led early and maintained the lead late in the first half until the Golden Flashes went on a run that cut the lead to 3 at half time 36-33. The second half went back and forth with the lead changing hands several times. Elijah Woods banged in a 3 pointer with 20 seconds left which turned out to be the game winner. "We came out with great energy but took our foot off the gas and got a little sloppy said Coach Chris Jones. We have to play more consistent and cut down on turnovers if we want to be succesful. The Lakers play again January 24th at Cincinnati- Clermont.
