The Wright State Lake Women's Basketball team started their 2017 campaign with a pair of tough losses to Indiana Tech and Cincinnati Christian over the weekend. Unfortunately, the Lady Lakers were forced to play the weekend with only 5 players, as Ovian Whitlow-Moore was sidelined with ongoing concussion symptoms. The Lakers were lead by Cami Hellwarth who had 16 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocks in game 1 on the Northern Lakes Insurance Tournament held at the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, IN. Cami also lead the team in game 2, by scoring 18 points on 8-11 shooting from the floor, while adding 6 rebounds to her effort. The Lady Lakers will be back in action next Friday as they travel to Southern State CC to take on Saint-Mary-of-the-Woods at 5:00pm in the Southern State Community College Shootout.
