Women's Basketball Signs Two From Michigan
The Lady Lakers are pleased to announce two signings from the state of Michigan. Tamia Calloway, 5'9 wing from Detroit Renaissance High School and Mari McAfee, 5'4 point guard from Saginaw Heritage High School. Tamia gained Detroit Public School League Honorable Mention honors as a senior and played an integral part in the success of the team that was ranked in the top ten of the state of Michigan.  She will provide defense and scoring for the Lady Lakers from the wing position. Mari McAfee and her Saginaw Heritage team were ranked #1 in the State of Michigan the entire year and reached their District Championship game. She will provide leadership, quickness and scoring for the Lady Lakers from the point guard position.
"I am very excited for these two players!" said Coach Lanier. "Both are quality young ladies and students. They both come from winning programs and both will be very important to the success of our basketball program!"
