Women's Basketball Preview

The Lady Lakers come into this season with great excitement as they are looking to improve from last year's 5-18 record. Excitement comes from the strong recruiting class Coach Logan Lanier put together coupled with a few returning pieces. Returning are two starters, Senior Guard Onyx Lopez, the team's leading scorer at 16.4 ppg, and Sophomore Guard Kelsey Wertz, who averaged 7.9 ppg last season. Lopez and Wertz will captain this young Laker squad that will feature 9 freshmen.

Nicole Fogt a freshman forward from Jackson Center, OH will look to be a dominating presence inside. Pair of freshmen from Fort Wayne, Indiana, Allana Hurst and Olivia Hill will also be ones to watch, their athleticism will allow the Lakers wing play to be more dynamic this season.

Coach Lanier is entering his second season as Head Coach is very excited about this year's basketball team! "We have some very good players that will compete and play hard every time we touch the court," said Coach Lanier. "We will play the right way and everything else will fall into place. This team will set the bar high for excellence on and off the court for Wright State- Lake Campus Women's Basketball for years to come!"
