Warriors and Lakers Split DH Again

Riggs drove in the go-ahead run to give Rochester College the lead in the eighth inning, as Wright State Lake Campus fell to Rochester College 4-3 in Game One on Sunday.

Raona doubled to get on base in the eighth. He then went from second to third on a passed ball.

Zach Short was a workhorse on the mound for the Lakers. Short pitched 7 1/3 innings and allowed no earned runs, four hits and two walks while striking out two.

The game was scoreless until the Warriors broke the ice with three runs in the seventh. Rochester scored on an RBI single by Cook, a groundout by Dupuis, and an error.

The Lakers quickly matched Rochester's strong inning with a three-run inning of its own in the seventh. Wright State Lake scored on a walk by Jake Armstrong and a two-run error.

In Game Two, the Lakers didn't provide Riley Leubke with much support, but he didn't need much. Luebke pitched seven strong innings to carry the Lakers to a 2-0 win over Rochester College in seven innings on Sunday.

Colton Nealeigh racked up two RBIs on two hits for Wright State Lake. He singled in the first and sixth innings.
