Lakers Falter Against Eagles

The WSU-LC Lakers started a pivotal early season conference series with Robert Morris Peoria on Saturday afternoon. The Lakers will also take on the Eagles in a double header Sunday. Carson Schuman took the loss for Lakers. He surrendered five runs on four hits over five innings, striking out eight and walking four batters. Lucas Sheriff came in relief going 2 2/3 innings giving up 0 hits, but walked eight Eagles. The Eagles built a 5-0 lead through the first five innings, and the Lakers were able to cut the Eagle lead 5-3 but could not get any closer.
