Cross Youtsler (4-1) took to the mound against USCAA Robert Morris-Peoria on a cold and misty day but he was anything but cold and No-Hit the Eagles 16-0. Youtsler was brilliant on the hill and did not surrender a hit while striking out six and walking one over five innings. The Lakers had 10 hits in the game led by Conor Schmitt going 3-4 at the plate with 5 RBI's. Dustin Lewis, Isaac Fitzgerald and Dakota Craft each had multiple hits. Game 2 saw the Lakers score big again winning by a 10-4 score. The six inning saw the game broke wide open by the Lakers as they scored six times led by Connor Burr, Nolan McWhorter, and Isaac Fitzgerald all with RBI's in the inning. Noah Greathouse (3-1) pitched six innings scattering only two hits while giving up 2 runs, and striking out a season high 10 batters. Chase Ruiz pitched a inning of relief. The Lakers now 18-7 take on NCAA Division 2 Urbana in a 9 inning affair on Wednesday April 24th. Game time is 5:00p.
