The Lakers opened up the World Series with a win over Mississippi University for Women by a score of 5-2. Anthony Steele led the offensive attack going three for four knocking in 2 runs. Connor Burr 1 for 3 on the day knocked in 2 runs. Isaac Fitzgerald finished the attack by  knocking in the other run. Cross Youtsler started the game and pitched 6 innings scattering 5 hits, striking out 4 and gave up 2 runs. Ryan Barker pitched an inning in relief and struck out 2. The Lakers look to continue their winning ways tomorrow playing the #1 seed Apprentice School at 4pm.
