we asked Nick what are you feeling after winning USCAA 2nd Team All-American.

"I'm very grateful to be selected as a Second Team All American. I thank God for my success this year on and off the field. It was a tough season, but it is rewarding seeing that the work I put in did not go unnoticed. My teammates had my back all year long and push me to work hard. I saw a big improvement this year compared to my first season, especially on the offensive side. It was great to get back to playing the infield this season and I feel like I made big steps as a hitter. My plan for next season is to take on a major leadership role and change the culture here at the Lake.  I am looking forward to the 2023 season and getting back to work with my new and current teammates this fall."

Drew Emerson a Freshman from Springboro Ohio also earned 2nd Team All-American Honors for the USCAA. Drew led the team in multiple offensive categories such as a .455 Avg, .538 OBP, 35 Hits, and 21 Runs. Drew also did not commit an error out of 124 total chances. The Freshman Phenom looks to continue his dominance within the USCAA as he prepares for his Sophmore Campaign.

We asked Drew how do you feel about winning USCAA 2nd Team All-American.

"It's a blessing to win 2nd team all American. To see all the hard work paying off feels amazing. I couldn't have done it without the help of my Coaches and Teammates. My plan for the 2023 season is to do whatever it takes to get back to the College World Series. I want to have another good year but more importantly, I want to help mentor the incoming class of players."

As a University, we are excited to see whats to come for Nick and Drew's careers on and off the field, while they contiune to grow and represent Wright State University-Lake Campus proud.
