This past Wednesday, 3/15, the Lakers started their homestand against Brescia University (8-14-1). A 9-inning scheduled game, the Lakers came out swinging, causing the game to end early in an 11-0, 7-inning run rule win. The Lakers bats were on fire throughout the entire game, as all but one spot in the order had at least one hit in the game. Leading the Lakers offensively was sophomore Drew Emerson, who had a 3-4 day at the plate, including a double, 2 RBI and 5 (!!) stolen bases. Freshman Liam Musgrove also recorded a double in the game. Leading the team in RBI was freshman Noah Crawford, who recorded 3 in the game, in addition to 2 hits. Also recording RBI were junior Hayden Bill (2), sophomore Brady Hobert, and freshman Kaden Davidson. Sophomore Riley Osterbur made his season debut, recording a hit and 2 walks, as well as 2 stolen bases of his own, scoring all 3 times he was on base.

On the mound, sophomore Shane Koedyker was lights out. His no hitter was the second in Wright State University – Lake Campus history since joining the USCAA in the fall of 2015. He only needed 68 pitches to go all 7 innings, a very efficient performance. He recorded 3 strikeouts and 0 walks or hits. The only baserunners to reach base in his no-hitter performance reached off 2 errors. He had all his pitches working for him that day, accumulating multiple swings and misses in his dominating outing. His season statistics now read as: 4 appearances (2 starts), 1 win, 16 1/3 IP, 12 strikeouts, 3 walks, 6 hits, and only 4 runs (4 earned) allowed.

This upcoming Sunday (3/19), the Lakers (6-5) will host Capital University (4-5) for a doubleheader, with game times at 1:00pm and 4:00pm. The Lakers hope to see you there! Go Lakers!
