The Lakers traveled to Defiance, Ohio to take on the Yellow Jackets of Defiance College on March 13th, 2024. Led by Senior Nick Hundley, the Lakers offense exploded with power, posting a three home run day. The Lakers got on the board in the top of the 4th when Noah McEldowney singled, scoring one run, and Nick Hundley got his first home run of the day. Giving the Lakers a 3-0 lead. In the 5th, Hayden Bill added to the Lakers lead, scoring Hundely and Focht who had walked earlier in the inning. The Lakers finishing up their scoring in the 7th on back to back home runs by Noah Crawford and Nick Hundley. On the defensive side of the ball, the Lakers went Johnny Wholestaff. Trever Sheets opened for the Lakers, the junior went 2 innings, giving up 3 hits and 1 run, striking out 1 and walking 1. Freshman Cole Neely followed Sheets and got the win for the Lakers. The reliver went 3 innings, giving up 1 hit, striking out 2 and walking 2, surrendering no runs. Alex DiVincenzo followed him, throwing one inning and striking out the side. Seth Meade had the next 2 innings for the Lakers, the righty gave up 3 hits, surrendering 2 runs, walking none and striking out 5. Finally, Daniel Brayton came in to close the game, the sophmore allowed no hits, no runs, walked 2 and struck out 2 to end the game for the Lakers. Securing the win 7-3. The Lakers collected 8 hits on the day, Hundely securing 2 with his home runs, Liam Musgrove, Brady Hobert, Noah McEldowney, Noah Crawford, Cade Meade, and Hayden Bill all collecting one. 

This brings the Lakers to 7-7 on the year and we are back in action in a four game set with Hocking College March 16th and 17th.
