Lakers Drop Tuesday Week Game To IUPUC

On Tuesday March 26th, the Lakers traveled to Columbus, Indiana to take on Indiana University—Purdue University Columbus. Coming up short in this one, the Lakers lost 6-1 in 9 innings. Despite a strong performances by Noah McEldowney and Nick Hundley at the plate, they were not enough to overcome a poor defensive performance by the team. The Lakers struggled on defense, recording 5 errors on the day. Two pitchers threw in the game for the Lakers, senior Hayden Bill started, giving up 8 hits, 6 runs (4 earned), striking out 3 and walking none in 4 innings of work. He was followed by junior Trever Sheets, the righty went 4 innings allowing no runs on 2 hits, striking out 3 and walking none. At the plate, the Lakers only recorded 1 run in the game after Liam Musgrove trippled and Noah McEldowney brought him in sacrafice fly. The Lakers collected 4 hits in the game, Hundley led the team with 2, followed by Musgrove and Turner Ebersole each collecting 1.
