The Lakers traveled three hours to take on #4 Andrews University on Monday evening. This game was the third and four days for the Lakers. The Lakers were plagued again by another slow start going down 18-3 early. The road team struggled to create good offense in the half court against the aggressive Cardinals zone. Lakers shot an abysmal 13 percent in the first half and trailed 41-14 after the first frame. In the second half Lakers were able to shoot a little better, but the hole was too deep as the Cardinals would cruise to a 84-45 victory.

Coach Richard Westerlund had this to say about tonight's game, "Andrews is a good team, and their zone and physicality gave us problems. We were soft with the ball early, which allowed them to build a lead and settle in. I thought defensively in the half court we weren't bad. We did a solid job in our first shot defense, but have to eliminate points of turnovers and second chance points." Coach Westerlund on mindset going into the last 3 games, "Right now our focus is continuing to get better. Our circumstances will not change our behavior. We know its a process and we are focused on getting better everyday and taking advantage of every opportunity."
