The 2018-19 Laker Men's Basketball season under first year Coach Chris Jones comes in with a lot of promise and excitement. This years team feature two returning players from last years 13-20 squad in Tyrone Auzenne and Chaz Painter. Elijah Woods (Lakeland C.C.) and Patrick McClendon (Columbus State C.C.) two junior college transfers gives the squad added experience and depth. Chris Lowry is the lone senior. The team will also feature 6 talented freshman. Guards Chaz Hardin and Tahj Benton will provide quickness and ballhandling. Wings Ahmad Smith, Maurice Cooley, Davion Foster and Byron Taylor will provide outside shooting depth. Antonio McQueen is a force in the middle with a good scoring touch around the basket. "I am excited about this year's team especially to be able and compete at this level said Coach Jones. The expectations are high and our goal is to compete and be successful in the USCAA!" The Laker Men open the season October 24th at Ohio Christian.
