2019-20 Men's Basketball Preview

The Wright State Lake Campus Men's Basketball team enters the 2019-20 season with a strong desire to improve on last season's 9-19 overall record. Chris Jones entering his second season as Head Coach states" We will have another challenging non-conference schedule but we will be up to the task". This should prepare us for a tough USCAA schedule. We have added some significant depth to our team that has 5 returning players and several newcomers to go along with Senior Elijah Woods, Junior Forward Chaz Painter, Sophmore's Point Guard Chaz Harden, and Combo Guard Tahj Benton. The remainder of the roster is filled with both upperclassmen and fresh faces ready to emerge. Sophmores Trevor Dotson and David Foster are also returners from last years squad. Juco transfer Christian Pitts a 6'7 junior forward from Lakeland Community College and Charles Aden a 6'3 junior guard from Columbus State Community College head the list. The Lakers also added 6'5 Freshman wing Reggie Priah from Euclid High School in Euclid Ohio who helped his high school team to a state semi-final appearance. Also signed were guards Jalen Garner, Markese Davis, Brandon Brown. Forwards Artimus Barnes, and Tavion Kelley will provide added depth to those positions. The expectations are high this year and with the combination of experience, youth and talent will allow us to be an Elite group and enjoy the season. The Lakers open the season October 26th at home against Trinity Christian College. Game time is 3pm.
