Laker Women Successful in Breast Cancer Charity Initiative

The Lady Lakers held three sperate fundraisers for the "Play for Kay" initiative for Women's College Basketball. The first was "Think Pink Tuesday" where Pink was worn and lapel pins and wrist bands were sold at the campus. 

The second Fundraiser was "Tasty Tuesday" where baked goods were also sold. The final fundraiser culiminated with "The Pink Game" at the Nutter Center in Dayton. Breast Cancer survivors Melanie Stump mother of Lady Laker Mikayla Stump and Jennifer Lewis mother of Baseball Player Dustin Lewis were honored.   The Lady Lakers raised over 500.00 in the first year of the campaign.

"We are pleased with our efforts this year but look forward to next year and beyond to raise more money" said Coach Lanier. "We Thank everyone and our President Cheryl Schrader for their support!
