
Wright State University - Lake Campus is excited to announce the addition of volleyball, making it the third athletics offering at the campus and the first program to be revived that was previously at the campus. Committed to excellence, the volleyball team will compete in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA), paving the way for a new era of athletics at the Lake Campus.
Wright State University - Lake Campus has tabbed Anthony Chappel as the Head Coach to lead the volleyball program. Chappel brings a wealth of experience to the position, having served as the Head Coach at Marion Local High School for the past four seasons. His coaching background spanned a total of seven seasons at Marion Local, where he developed players and built a strong program. Before his tenure at Marion Local, Chappel spent six years as an assistant coach at Dublin Coffman and one year at Bexley. He also served as the head coach at Thomas Worthington in 2015.
The introduction of the volleyball program at Wright State University - Lake Campus represents a significant milestone for the Lake Campus Athletics department. As the program begins to take shape, the university looks forward to building a strong foundation that will support student-athletes both on and off the court. With Coach Chappel at the helm, the Lake Campus volleyball program is poised for growth and success.
