
The Wright State University-Lake Campus Cross Country team delivered a remarkable performance at the USCAA National Championship in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, despite challenging weather conditions and a hilly course. Kaylie Dameron made history by finishing 1st and winning the National Championship with an impressive time of 23:03 in the 6k, outpacing her nearest competitor by 53 seconds. This victory marks her as the first National Champion for the Lake Campus, a significant achievement for the program. Alecia Eischen had a standout race as well, running a personal best of 28:46 and finishing 32nd overall. Tatianna Poelking also contributed to the team's effort with a solid time of 29:02. Overall, the team's resilience in tough conditions highlights their dedication and determination throughout the season.
