Wright State Lake falls to Indiana Wesleyan

Wright State Lake lost 7-3 in game one at Montgomery field on Saturday, despite outhitting Indiana Wesleyan seven to five.

Isaac Fitzgerald racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Lakers. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Olvaniy got the win for Indiana Wesleyan. He allowed two runs over 4 2/3 innings. He struck out three, walked three and surrendered five hits.

Austin Baumgardner took the loss for the Lakers. He allowed seven runs in 5 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out three.

In game two, the Lakers collected seven hits, but lost 15-2.

Kira recorded the win for Indiana Wesleyan. He tossed two-thirds of an inning of shutout ball. Kira struck out one, walked two and gave up one hit.

Shaffer, Shomon and Nesselhuf helped lead Indiana Wesleyan. They combined for five hits and eight RBIs.

Alek Hartell was charged with the loss. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed five runs.

Indiana Wesleyan brought home two runs in the third inning, and matched that run total in the fourth. In the third, Indiana Wesleyan scored on a two-run single by Sautel, bringing home Braytenbach and Nesselhuf.

One run in the bottom of the third helped the Lakers close its deficit to 3-1, but the Lakers never threatened afterward.
