Lakers Give up Lead Late, Fall to Miami - Hamilton

Wright State Lake Campus lost the Wednesday night, after losing the lead in the seventh inning Wednesday, as Miami-Hamilton grabbed a 10-5 victory.

Isaac Fitzgerald racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Lakers. He homered in the fifth inning.
Hall, Johnson, Schultz and Griffis helped lead Miami-Hamilton. They combined for six hits and three RBIs.

Zach Short couldn't get it done on the bump for the Lakers, taking a loss. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked four, struck out two, and allowed four runs.

The top of the first saw Wright State take an early lead, 2-0. The Lakers got things going when Derek Waterman singled. A groundout by Fitzgerald then moved Waterman from second to third. Colton Nealeigh singled, bringing home Waterman and Dillon Bell.

Miami-Hamilton brought home two runs in the fourth inning, and matched that run total in the eighth. In the fourth, Miami-Hamilton scored on a groundout by Tirey, plating Johnson.

The Lakers tied the game in the sixth on a passed ball that scored Connor Burr.

The lead stayed with Miami-Hamilton after the seventh, when it scored three runs on two ground outs and an RBI single by Griffis.

Miami-Hamilton tacked on another two runs in the eighth. A steal of home scored Belien for the inning's first run.
