Wright State Lake Hangs on to Beat Barons

WSULC Lakers built an early lead against OSU Lima, scoring three runs in the first inning, en route to a 6-5 win on Thursday. 

The Lakers scored in the first on an RBI single by Colton Nealeigh and a two-run single by Isaac Fitzgerald

Wright State Lake would not relinquish the lead as OSU Lima was unable to weather a four-run sixth inning deficit. 

OSU Lima scored on an error in the sixth inning and a two-run single by Leigh in the ninth inning. Still, OSU Lima couldn't draw even. 

Five relief pitchers finished off the game for WSULC Lakers. Dillon Bell faced three batters in relief, while Tristan Becker managed to record three outs to aid the victory. 

After pushing across one run in the bottom of the second, OSU Lima faced just a 3-1 deficit. An RBI single by Bonzoni fueled OSU Lima's comeback. Austin Baumgardner ended the inning by getting Leigh to ground out. 

After pushing across one run in the bottom of the fourth, OSU Lima faced just a 4-2 deficit. An RBI single by Conway set off OSU Lima rally. WSULC Lakers stopped the rally after Dan Borchers got Bonzoni to fly out.
