Lakers Emerge Victorious Against Tiffin

Vernon Montgomery scored 22 points to bring Wright State Lake to a 100-74 victory over Tiffin on Tuesday. 


Lakers put points on the board early, claiming a 45-31 lead at the half. 


Montgomery had a great game from the field, making 64% (9-for-14) of shots attempted as well as 44% (4-for-9) of threes attempted.

Four other players also scored in the double digits for Wright State Lake.  DaeShawn Beasley scored 17 points, Josh Florence put up 15 points, and Darion Rockhold had 12 points.  Cj Taylor hit four three-pointers and scored 16 points total. Also helping the effort for Wright State Lake were Ronmel Hicks (9 points, 1 rebound), Marquis Wilson(5 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals), Tyler Sullivan (2 points, 1 rebound), and Adrian Camp(2 points, 1 rebound).  Rockhold was a big defensive contributor as well, racking up eight rebounds, one steal and two blocks.

Wright State Lake finished the game with 43 rebounds (10 offensive / 33 defensive), two blocks and eight steals.
