Wright State Lakers traveled up to Berrien Springs, Michigan to take on #19 Andrews University. The Lakers started the game in a back and forth affair with the Cardinals. The Lakers were down 25-18 when the Cardinals went on a 17-7 run to close the half. The run was capped off by a half court buzzer beater by the Cardinals to take all the momentum into half. In the second half the Lakers tried to get the tempo up and was able to consistently turn the Cardinals over but the could not cut into the lead deep enough. Adrian Palacios had a career high 21 points, draining seven three pointers in the game. The Lakers forced 31 turnovers and swiped 21 steals, but the Cardinals owned the Lakers on the glass all night and shot 60 percent for the game. The Lakers fell 103-76.

Coach Richard Westerlund said this about the game, "I was extremely disappointed with our first half effort. I did not think we competed defensively or had an edge on that end of the floor. Offensively we settled entirely too much in the first half. Our play in the first half forced our hand in the second half. We tried to make it a track meet, and we did a really nice job pressuring and forcing turnovers. We were even with them in the second half despite us extending ourselves so much defensively. What it comes down to is we need to play forty minutes of tough, competitive basketball." On Adrian Palacios, "AP was in a zone tonight. He's been waiting for his opportunity and he made the most of it tonight. His three point shooting can bring a different dynamic to our team. I am super proud of him." On team developing consistency, "We need to develop some consistency and that is part of the maturation process of being a young team. We show flashes of what we can be, the key for us now is getting those flashes to become consistent over long stretches."
